My second floor air conditioner blows cool air out (it's hot outside) and room temperature or warmer air inside. The unit seems to come on even when we have it turned off. (I'll hear it click and hum.) When it does work, it blows cool air for a while, then the temperature starts to rise, resulting in a hot house. I have had it worked on. No solution in sight. No one has been able to fix it. Please help!
When the air conditioner is in the “cooling” mode, the air coming out of the outdoor unit should be warm to hot. If this air is cool, the system is not working properly. The refrigerant cycle transfers the hot air that was inside your house, moving it to the outside where it is discharged via the fan. You will need to contact a professional HVAC contractor to assist you with this problem.
