Our air conditioning has recently stopped working on our upstairs level. We can feel a low pressured air still coming from the vents and when we push the buton to turn the system off we can hear it turn off. However, it doesn't "click" back on. Should we have it serviced or is there somthing we can do?
It is good practice to have an air conditioning cleaning and tune-up annually, so this would be a good time to have a technician check the system operation and perform the needed maintenance. The way you describe what your system is doing makes me think that the indoor fan is stuck in a low speed operation, and the cooling is not coming on. I suggest you contact a professional HVAC contractor, like the ARS/Rescue Rooter branch in Durham, NC at (919) 493-1407, to determine why your system is not following the proper operating sequence.
