• Air conditioning tripping breaker, now doesn't work

    Jul.7.2011

My air conditioning quit working but I don't have insurance that would cover the repair. What options do you provide? What is the cost of repair? The AC was recently tripping the breaker but now it just doesn't cut on anymore. I need to know if there is insurance that I can look into and get a quote.

If you are interested in insurance for an AC system that has quit working, I suggest you contact a reputable home warranty company.  Unfortunately, they would most likely require the system to be in working order before they would insure it.   I would call a reputable HVAC company and ask if they offer a free service call and a quote for the necessary repairs. You might also ask them if they have a lease option and/or financing depending on the cost of the repair and the age of the equipment. Replacement is likely to be your best choice. I encourage you to contact the ARS/Rescue Rooter branch in North Charleston, SC at (843) 747-2714 to make an appointment for a service call.
