How much does air duct cleaning cost?
Although duct cleaning is a service that is provided only at some of our ARS/Rescue Rooter branches, I will be happy to offer our recommendations as a professional HVAC contractor. First, do not fall into the trap that a lot of other consumers do. Do not hire the company with the cheapest price. This is one of those services where you get what you pay for. I would look for a company that belongs to the BBB or Angie’s List. I would also get at least a couple of quotes. Cost will depend on how large your HVAC system. A professional duct cleaning will definitely improve the air quality in your home and it should be done periodically, at least every three to five years. How dirty your ductwork gets will have a lot to do with the number of people and pets in and out of your home, as well as the types of filters you use, flooring, and other factors. A professional will use a HEPA Vac machine specifically designed for this job.
