I have a 70,000 BTU floor furnace. Can the pilot light flame be adjusted?
Yes, the pilot flame should be adjustable. However, often when it appears that a pilot light on any furnace needs adjusting, the problem is actually a clogged pilot orifice or pilot assembly. Safety is always a prime concern when dealing with gas. I suggest you contact a professional HVAC contractor, like ARS/Rescue Rooter, to perform a complete system and safety check and possibly a tune-up.
