How much would a control panel for a water heater that was installed in 2010 cost?
Replacing the control panel on your hot water heater is a fairly expensive repair. Since the water heater was very recently purchased and installed, the first thing I would do is contact the manufacturer in order to find a local representative who can show you the warranty. The control panel is possibly covered under your warranty at little or no cost to you. In order to get the information you need, the representative will want the model number and the serial number of your water heater. These numbers are generally located on the Rating Plate, which is usually located near the top center on the adhesive warning label sticker on the water heater.
