I live in a double wide mobile home and just had a new gas furnace installed. It seems to come on every 10 minutes. Is this normal?
There should be a cycle adjustment in the thermostat that can be changed to cause fewer cycles per hour. The installing company can check for the anticipator or cycles per hour settings and adjust as needed. The heat anticipator is an electrical device which controls at what point the furnace blower turns on or off. Most mechanical thermostats include these devices which are designed to anticipate when a room will be at a desired temperature. Please contact the company which installed your new furnace or a professional HVAC contractor, such as ARS/Rescue Rooter, for assistance with this adjustment.
