When considering the total costs for going tankless there are two main expenses: the cost of the actual tankless water heater and installation costs. Costs can vary depending on what part of the country you live in, or whether you have chosen an electric or gas model water heater. I will say that installing a tankless water heater should be considered an investment for your home, as it will reduce your energy consumption and can save you money in the long run. Plus, tankless water heaters can last 5 to 10 years longer than a standard water heater.
