I lost all water pressure in the house. I have a water softener that I put on bypass and water pressure increased to a bare trickle. Outside faucets have normal pressure. Loss of water pressure was sudden. What may have caused this?
There are several problems that could cause this sudden pressure loss. The first thing you will want to check is your water pressure regulator. Next look at your main shut off valve to the house. In my opinion, you probably have some type of obstruction in your line. I suggest you contact a professional plumbing contractor, such as the ARS/Rescue Rooter branch in Austin, TX at (512) 444-4ARS, to check it out and, most likely, to pressurize your water system.
