How much does it cost to have someone come out and determine why my pilot light is going out every night? When i relight the pilot, the hot water heater seems to work. It has not been windy.
It sounds like you are having a problem with the thermocouple. This is an electronic device on the hot water heater that keeps the pilot burning once you light it. The thermocouple is designed to sense when it’s safe to keep open the main gas valve on the pilot light assembly.
