I think the guy who installed my AC unit hooked up the condensation line to the secondary drain and plugged the primary drain. Both drains sit side by side on the right side of the unit. Which drain is the primary, the one furthest on the right or on the left?
Condensate drains from air conditioning indoor coils have a main drain and a little higher up is the secondary drain. The lower one is always the primary drain and, if it clogs, then the water will build up to the secondary drain level and be drained from the higher drain, often to a separate location that is visible and noticeable to the homeowner. I suggest you either contact the contractor who installed your unit to check out this problem or make an appointment with a professional HVAC contractor, like the ARS/Rescue Rooter branch in Corona, CA at 888-762-7752.
