• Problems heating my modular home

    Oct.28.2009

I own a 28' x 70' modular home. One side of the house doesn't get much or any heat blowing out of the vents. What is the problem?

The furnace is most likely located at one end of the modular home. The air vents closest to the furnace usually blow better than the ones that are up to 70 feet away at the other end of the home. One suggestion is to locate a furnace under the structure closer to the middle for more even air flow distribution. Maybe even a package unit would work best. A package unit will provide whole house heating and cooling. All equipment is located in an outdoor unit that sits on a concrete slab or other platform or on the roof, and it is connected to ductwork. You will need to contact a professional HVAC contractor like ARS/Rescue Rooter for a free estimate.
