• Reset hot water heater to make it work

    Dec.8.2009

We have lived in our house for about 5 years now. For the past 6 months, we have had to hit the reset button on the water heater at least once a day if not more to get hot water. My family keeps telling me it is the element that needs fixed. I keep telling my husband we need to get it fixed but he seems to not worry about it. I do not want to get a new one if this is an inexpensive fix. Could you please help me?

This is a serious issue.  The reset button is a safety device.  If the water temperature gets higher than 210 degrees, it will be scalding hot.  I suggest you contact a professional plumbing contractor,  like ARS/Rescue Rooter in Indianapolis at (317) 390-5555, to get your thermostat on your hot water heater replaced immediately.
