My bathroom sink is completely clogged. I've tried using a plunger, using the snake, and drain cleaners and nothing is working. My father took off the trap, and tried the snake again, but it gets to a point and won't move. Could something that big have gotten down there from my sink or up from the other way?
Yes, your clogged sink drain could be caused by a large object that got into your drain, but most likely it is blocked from sludge build up. Lots of gunk goes down your bathroom sink, including soap residue, hair and toothpaste. If you’ve tried a plunger, a snake, drain cleaners and checking the trap, your best bet is to call a professional plumbing contractor in your area. The technician should be able to assess your problem and clear your drain with their equipment. If they cannot, they may need to get into the wall and replace some of the piping.
