I had a new boiler installed. I have two zones. This boiler runs constantly. I have to shut off the button for it to stop. If I put the heat on downstairs the heat goes on upstairs as well. Do you think he wired it wrong or something?
If the zone upstairs is heating, one of three things is happening: Either (1) something has gone wrong causing the valve to open, (2) the valve is stuck open, or (3) the valve has been placed into a locked open position. Incorrect wiring is the least likely possibility, due to the fact that zone wiring should not have been changed during replacement of the boiler. A qualified HVAC technician, like ARS/Rescue Rooter, would need to check the heating system to determine the cause.
