When I turn the temperature down on the thermostat, it makes the 'clicking' noise like it's going to turn on. However, it does not, and nothing is coming on with the actual unit outside. It is 93 degrees in here. I have tripped the breakers in the house, and still no luck.
If the outdoor unit is coming on and the indoor blower is not moving any air, no matter where you set the thermostat, then there can be several causes of this clicking sound you are hearing. The motor could be bad or perhaps the relay or the circuit board controlling the relay could be bad. Possibly, the thermostat is failing to turn on the fan circuit. A reputable service technician, like ARS/Rescue Rooter, will be glad to perform a diagnosis of the system to find the cause of your issues.
