Just moved in and cannot get the thermostats (2) to work. They are marked ARS, are digital, and have temperature up and down buttons on right. On the left side is a switch that reads FAN, On, Auto; and one below that has Heat, Off, Cool. The heat works fine; however we cannot figure out how to adjust the temperature. Pressing the up and down buttons does nothing. Is there an instruction manual we can look at?
Try holding the “up” or “down” button for about 3 seconds. The LED should flash and you should be able to adjust the temperature. Some of these thermostats can be locked so the temperature cannot be changed. If so you would need to refer back to the installing instructions and go into the configuration and set accordingly. If the thermostats were adjusting in the past, most likely you have a problem with the thermostats. If there is no display try changing the batteries. I suggest calling a professional HVAC contractor, such as ARS/Rescue Rooter serving Northern Virginia at (703) 631-3650 or (202) 479-0999, for a complete check up.
