Can a UV light be effective without the installation of a humidifier?
Ultraviolet (UV) light is used in a in some conventional air conditioning systems to control the bacteria on the surface of the evaporator coil. The UV radiation is very effective at killing a wide range of pathogens with or without a humidifier. Be aware, however, that you should never look at the blue light. Your best option is to contact a professional HVAC contractor to assist you.
