When I ran my washer, the water from the hot water tank began pouring out of drain valve and onto the floor. Does that mean it needs to be replaced?
Water coming out of your drain valve is an unusual problem and needs to be addressed. Water should never come out of the bottom drain valve unless it is turned on manually. I would contact a professional plumbing contractor and have the hot water heater checked immediately.
