Lately I have noticed that when it is really cold I do not seem to have as much hot water as in warmer weather. What is wrong with my water heater?
This type of problem could be caused by a number of different things. It may be something as simple as your hot water heater needing to be flushed. Just about all manufacturers recommend routine sediment flushes in order to keep your water heater operating safely and efficiently. Or it could be a problem with other elements of your water heater, such as the thermostat. If your hot water heater is a gas system, then cleaning the burner may also help the situation. I would definitely have a licensed plumbing professional come and do a thorough diagnostic on your water heater to ensure its working at its peak performance.
