What do you know about descaling pipes? does the chemical process really work and is it worth the cost?

This is one of those challenging plumbing questions. I have been plumbing a long time and I simply have not found any good fix for this. When you are talking about pipe in drainage systems, there is a possibility of relining the pipes in some cases, but it is not cheap. If you are asking about descaling water piping, I am a firm believer in replacing the old pipe by installing new PEX water piping. PEX stands for cross-linked polyethylene. This is a high-temperature, flexible plastic pipe. The cross-linking raises the thermal stability of the material load to greatly improve the pipe’s resistance to environmental stress, making it much more durable than regular polyethylene pipe. Thanks to trenchless technology, it is possible for a plumber to re-line or re-pipe your system without having to dig up your yard. I suggest you contact a professional plumbing contractor, such as the ARS/Rescue Rooter branch in Austin, TX at (512) 444-4ARS.
